Is this course for you?

This one-day course is designed to ensure that the delegate is fully compliant with EC852:2004, BS EN15780, LPS 2084 and to BESA TR19 Edition 2 guidelines. Cleaning a kitchen extract is also compliance for insurance requirements. 

The course covers a demonstration of equipment and explanation of legal requirements including risks are fully covered. Identify and test areas that may need cleaning, carrying out a WFTT, understanding methods of cleaning and equipment, including access panel cutting.  All study material provided with a training manual to use as reference guide.

This long-established two-day course is designed for those companies or individuals who want to progress and expand on the Kitchen Extract cleaning side by adding Air Conditioning systems to their portfolio.

This means you can become competent not only to LPS 2084 guidelines but also BSEN 15780 & EC852:2004 Quality Standard regulations.  The course includes training to enable the delegate to be able to certify work carried out to produce a certificate.

At the end of the course all delegates take an exam which on passing, are issued with a Certificate of competence & ID which enables them to issue a Kitchen Extract certificate to the Client. The Client will be able to satisfy their compliance to the Insurance company

Aims

The aim of this course is to ensure kitchen extract cleaning in compliance with guidelines and EC852:2004, BS EN 15780, LPS 2084, Quality Standard and BESA TR19 Edition 2 guidelines for legal and insurance purposes.

Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Understand your legal responsibilities and liabilities as a kitchen extract cleaner
  • Identify and test areas that may need cleaning, use WFTT (Wet Film Thickness Test)
  • Advise clients on their responsibilities and identify their requirements
  • Understand methods and extent of cleaning requirements
  • Operate various types of cleaning equipment and use of chemicals
  • Access panel installation
  • Issue and certify Certificates of Compliance
